Group by and hierarchy
Group spend by up to 16 dimensions and drill down through a hierarchy in the breakdown table.
Group by
Select Group by in the toolbar. The chart, total bar, and breakdown split by the dimensions you choose.
- Select Add dimension to add one. You can group by up to 16.
- Drag to reorder. The first dimension is the top of the hierarchy.
- Select × to remove one, or Clear all.
Hierarchy
The breakdown table shows the hierarchy above the table, for example Provider › Service. The next level is marked next. Select a row to drill into it, and select a level in the hierarchy to go back up. Select the pencil to edit the hierarchy.
Your lens sets the default hierarchy:

Table or tree table
- Table shows one level at a time.
- Tree table shows every level, expandable in place.
Tips
- Group by Charge Type to separate usage from purchases, credits, and tax.
- Group by a tag key to see allocation. Untagged spend appears as its own row.
- Keep grouping to two or three dimensions for readable charts. Use the tree table for deeper cuts.
