Canvases
Organise, edit, share, and explain canvases. Canvases replace v1 dashboards.
A canvas is a dashboard of widgets. You can build one with Iris, start one empty, or grow one from a chat. Every v1 dashboard came across as a canvas.
The canvas library
Open Observe → Canvas (or the Canvases tab on Iris home). Each card shows a preview of the widgets, the name, the widget count, linked chats, and when it was last updated.

Canvas filters and date range
The Filter and date range in the toolbar apply to every widget that inherits canvas filters. A widget's own filters are added on top.

Widget menu (⋯)

Add widgets
Select Add widget and choose:
- Describe it to Iris: opens the Iris panel with a builder prompt.
- Build manually: opens the widget builder.
Arrange widgets
Select Edit layout to drag, resize, and reorder widgets. Select it again to save.
The Iris panel
Every canvas has an Iris panel on the right. Iris reads the widgets in front of you.
- Select Brief me for a summary of what the canvas shows and what changed.
- Ask anything, such as Which account drove the increase in the second widget?
- Use the depth switch (Low, Med, High) to control how much Iris investigates.
Share a canvas
Select Share in the header, or Share… in the canvas menu. New canvases are visible only to you until you share them. Canvases shared with you appear under Shared with me.
